Almost everything submitted will get posted here, positive or negative, your review only wont get posted if its stupid eg "I don't like PSP, it sucks" I dont expect you to write long essays but they should be useful :) Ok so submit your 'review' below, leave your url if you want the review linked to you!
Review of Simply-Precious.net by Janelle.
really fun website to go to daily.. she has tons of content that keep you there for over an hour and the layout is real nice and calm on the eyes. she's really nice as well =) I visit SP.net everyday!
Review of PurplePjs.com by Stephanie.
Purplepjs.com is great. There is at least one page there that will interest anyone and you can interact. They also have a forum and a chat room. I love it.
Review of Giffy by Lori.
You can't download this anymore, but it's a very useful program to convert bmp files into gif, and also make them transparent! It's awesome for people who dont have PSP.
Review of MS Paint by Songbird.
MS Paint is a better program than it looks :D Even though it is very basic, it is useful for doing simple things, when you dont need "incredible" graphics. You can pretty much do everything, you just gotta work pixel...by pixel...by pixel. But the single best thing about it is tat its free and comes with every computer :D
Review of Paint Shop Pro 9 by Atiqah.
A good software for those designers out there. I've been using it for 2 years now and I like it alot! =) I recommend this to those who is interested in designing.
Review of Frontpage by Matthew.
I hate microsoft frontpage! I was lazy so I started building my site using it, it's the worst programme going! Not only does it make crappy layouts but everything gets aligned wrong aswell.
Edit pad is awesome! A better version of Notepad. You get to navigate through tabs so you don't need like 5 Notepad tasks opened. Its just AWESOME and u get to customize it however you want for example, change the colors of ur bg, text etc.!
OMG! One of the best graphic program out there. Its the best for prefessional looking sites and has tons of features more than psp and ps. You can image map, slice, add rollovers without using javascript, add menus, navigation bars and so much MORE!
Review of AmIAnnoying.com by Nana.
This is a great site to learn that celebrities are also human beings, as well as history, because the listed celebs range from pop stars to political figures to mythical creatures. However, some of the reviews can be subjective, e.g. considering it's cool for the subjects of the reviews to reside in NYC. All in all, this website is worth checking out to broaden your knowledge in a fun way!
Review of Yahoo Geocities by Karen.
Reliable and has plenty of space. Not a good idea for a frame-using site because of the ads, but a pretty generous service. I used it for quite a while with no problems.
Notepad does everything. It works great on html, php, txt, anything. It's my main html editor because it's a small program w/o a bunch of funky buttons. It's easy to open. It's is a staple for webdesigners
Review of Microsoft Frontpage 5 by William the Bloody.
Frontpage makes wedpage creation easy! Want a picture, horizontal line, form check box, iFrame, etc? just go to the "Insert" menu. Want a table? Try the "table menu". You can view page in Normal, HTML and Preview mode. Has menus for the basics, but the HTML mode for more advanced commands. This program is perfect for the beginner and intermediate web page. A-
Notepad is by far the best 'HTML editor' because its so basic and does exactly what you tell it to do, other WYSIWYG editors tend to mess up your code more than they do help. It also has some really useful features like search and replace, notepad gets 100%!
Review of Lissaexplains.com by Jette.
Lissaexplains.com is just for amatures. It only has the most basic codes. If you want to do something more advanved (or fake yourself as a good designer), I reccomend you never go there.
Review of Funky-Chickens.com by Jess.
funky-chickens.com is the best site there is for html help; it has everything you need!
The newest version of Macromedia's Flash is definitely the best. Although you don't have as much work space, there are a lot more tools and options that make creating and publishing your applications much easier. It isn't too hard to use, especially if you are familiar with animation programs such as Jasc Animation Pro. It is very beneficial for websites of all kinds, imparting entertaining movies, interesting navigation, exciting games, and attractive layouts. It's also compatible with Photoshop and Illustrator, so hopefully graphic gurus will try something new!
Review of Angelfire.com by Liz.
it's better than geocities. pagebuilder doesn't work for several people, and it just sucks. so i used angelfire, before i got a host. but there's also the ad thing. i know a free web host that had no ads, but i can't remember. so if you want a good free host, with only one ad, go to angelfire.
Review of Paint Shop Pro 7 by Paulette.
Paint Shop Pro 7 is so far my favorite graphic editing program. When you use it and start to play around with things, it turns out to be really cool. You can edit almost any image, add text to it, change the colors, or even put multiple images into one (great for making layouts). Paint Shop Pro 7 rocks!!!
CuteMAP is an easy understanding program to map your images with. You have 3 options of shapes to map with and there is a area below the graphic wich shows you the HTML. You can copy that immidiately and paste it into your html page. This program can even map .png, wich is very rarely. Easily, handy and fast :)
Review of 3D Studio Max by Alex.
This is one of the best programs for creating 3D stuff. It's fairly easy and fast to create trend abstract 3D images that look very cool when used in layouts and such!
Review of SmartFTP by Jessica.
SmartFTP is the best FTP program. It's very easy to understand and transfering files is simply dragging and dropping. It works just like a normal folder and is pretty much self-explanatory. Even the common Joe Schmo would be able to figure out SmartFTP!
Review of Macromedia Fireworks by Calani.
This is a great program to use if you want a really professional looking web page. You can slice, map and add pop-up menus and rollovers to all your images. It also makes layering VERY easy. I recommended this program to everyone! Although it does take some getting used to, once you know what you’re doing, you can work wonders!
Review of MS Paint by Mercedes.
I don't have any graphix programs, but Paint and it rox! You can make all sorts of effects, plus pixels, and I've learned a lot just from doodling on it!
Review of Adobe Photoshop 7.0 by Kate.
Adobe Photoshop is the best graphics program I have come across. I am proficient in Paint Shop Pro 6 and 7, all of Corel's crap and Adobe and I find Adobe the most versatile of all. You can cut images to make your pages load faster, you can make image maps, you can export your picture into Image Ready to animate, and there are more filters than with Paint Shop Pro. Sure, Adobe isn't for the beginner and it takes awhile to figure out and remeber where everything is, but it is well worth it.
Review of Swaymyway.com by Shannon.
Swaymyway.com is a great site =) It's got all sorts of fun things to do- I've never gotten bored of it! Starlet has great, unique ideas that she puts into swaymyway.com and all her hard work has paid off.
Review of Swaymyway.com by Will.
Swaymyway.com = fun for the masses! The quizzes are especially good. The site is also updated regularly - very cool.
Review of Angelfire.com by Will.
Not many people trust free online page-builders. And for a good reason. Angelfire. Angelfire is hideous. One of the worst online editors of all time. Everypage comes with atleast two adds, the WYSIWYG feature makes, possibly the worst websites of all time. If you want a reasonable free host - with a slightly OK pagebuilder go for Geocities. It isn't brilliant, but it does a much better job than Angelfire. Better yet - learn html. Geocities has an advanced html editor that surprisingly is quiet good. Say 'No!' to Angelfire.
Review of NeoCybunny by ?.
NeoCybunny is an AWSOME graphics site. I go there for ALL my graphics. It has a cool layout. I really like it. You should check it out. It loads nice and quickly, too.
Review of Advanced Browser by Margaret.
This is the best browser I have come across! It has all the features IE has, but has a pop-up blocker and the "multiple pages in the one browser window" feature. Also not quite as buggy. You can get it at advancedbrowser.com.
Review of Survey on smw.com by Mike.
the survey on Sway my Way.com rules! It is really fun and you can think of some class answers to put in the boxes! :D:D
Review of WYSIWYG Editors by Hillary.
They are deffinently a waste of time! They cannot create good layouts at all. They may be quick to use, but they don't deliver the high quality results that webmasters today need. I would deffinently recomend notepad. Even if you don't know HTML it is worth while to learn the basics and more from places like Funky-chickens.
