In windows XP you can upload files to your site via FTP on your desktop, no need to download any programs and all you have to do is drag n drop to upload, it’s really easy to set up too, here’s how you do it.

Step 1. Go to my network places
Step 2. Click on “Add a network place”
Step 3. The wizard will come up, click next
Step 4. Select “choose another network location” click next
Step 5. Type in your ftp address in the box, if you don’t know what yours is try these two ftp://ftp.domain.com and ftp.domain.com if neither work you will have to ask your host.
Step 6. Click next, click next again.
Step 7. Put in a name for it, it can be anything, it’s just so you know what it is, click next
Step 8. Choose the option to open the window when your done and click finish
Step 9. For ease bookmark it.

Thats it, you’re done
