It feels like a lifetime since I did a proper blog entry, heck I haven’t even posted on the forum in almost 2 weeks – bad admin, bad. The last week was pretty much a complete write off, both in terms of online and offline actions. I had officially the worst migraine of my life from Thursday night until Tuesday night…head so painful I couldn’t even lay down, moving my eyes caused me to throw up, I couldn’t see for 2 days etc – nasty. So Stalk Me Sunday was a bust because I was barely online obviously. Then as soon as I started to feel better (I still have a mild headache even now, but it’s nothing to what it was) my chuffing keyboard stopped working, which means Twitter Thursday was a pain in my bottom. I have so much online stuff to catch up on, a week away from the computer for someone who is usually online for at least a good few hours a day is pretty mega!

RIP first week of April, you sucked.

How do you guys like my new entrecard image? If the threat of being lightsabered by a scary looking Starlet doesn’t make people visit Swaymyway.com, I don’t know what will!

Speaking of entrecard though, what have they done to it? I don’t understand the new system, but mor e to the point I don’t care to learn to understand the new system – I shouldn’t need to read a darned tutorial to work out how things work now. Maybe this way is better, maybe other people are liking it, but it doesn’t work for me and the way I personally used to use entrecard. I used to collect ecs for about a week, and then go buy as many cheap ads as I could, 2 – 30 ecs, this way I’d always have ads running and a lot of the time I’d get some really good ones from new members…cheap to buy but provide lots of hits. Now I find it hard to even find any ads…since there’s no longer the ‘recent, availble’ etc categories I used to select my ads from, and even the crappest ads on sites that get about 5 hits a day now cost 64.

Hate it.

The deskcam is now live and will be for the next 30ish hours. In other news, I added a few more plugins – and plan on adding a few more still today – I decided not to bother with the comment plugger plugin, the most recent 5 comments get a plug in the sidebar there any way..and now I have installed the ‘Top Commentors’ plugin, so the top 5 commentors** of the month get a slightly more permanent spot – so it gives people more of an incentive to post more, or something. Also added a little something something that makes my comments stand out more in the comments section. Added Gravatars back on the comments…and today I am going to be looking for something that will allow me as Admin to reply to comments, and something that will allow me to make *notes in my posts

Gav and I got along swimmingly, 8 days we were together…that’s actually the longest we have spent together in a long long while…I was worried we’d run out of things to say or start hating on each other, especially as he was off work so we were literally together 24/7, but it was all good, of course it was – we get on very well most of the time :throb:

We went shopping one day and I got a little cardigan in the sale, I have been after one for months mainly just to wear around the house but didn’t want to pay £15+ for one (yes, I am that cheap ) so finding this for a fiver was perfect, and it’s so nice that it’s already been worn out several times and isn’t just an ‘at home’ item, woo. Though I only bought that to cheer myself up after my beautiful snow boots that I mentioned in the last entry got cancelled due to stock issues, boooooo, I am still sore about that over a week later. We had a kebab one day, we went to subway twice, we had a Greggs chicken bake one day and we went out to eat in Weatherspoons one night with Jonathan. We went to the pub one night, we played a little golf and we were meant to be going to the cinema to see Juno with some free preview tickets I had got but I got the day wrong so we missed it. Oooops.

When I got back I got straight back into my usual healthy eating and working out, even though Gav was here and I don’t usually work out in front of any one! But I knew that if I didn’t hop straight back on the elliptical, it’d get harder and harder to.

I also had the most amazing item of post waiting for me to open, two in fact…one was a slight ‘windfall’ that I wasn’t expecting and the other is something I am going to talk about in my next entry, as first I need to go and do some serious thanking of some certain lovely SwayForum members :hyper::heart:

In other quick news, it’s the Big Brother Celebrity Hijack finale tonight, it’s honestly been a really enjoyable series and makes me have some faith that BB9 will be better than the last few years have been. Nice housemates, interesting housemates, change in format, no Davina (sorry, but not a Davina fan), good celebrities, few arguments but lots of tension, lots of humour, the ‘right’ people have been being evicted for a change and there’s not been not toooo much manipulation from producers :thumbsup:
I am rooting for Jeremy to win, yeah he’s a bit of a mean twat but I like that in a guy, I like his sense of humour and he reminds me a lot of Gav to be honest…I’d also love to see Amy win, she’s strong and has that same sense of dry humour, she’s a girl who knows her mind but isn’t a bitch. I don’t want to see Nathan or Anthony win, they fit the ‘generic’ Big Brother image of safe, nice, boring, attractive guys who win because the teenage girls fancy them!

However this year I some how managed to get a little carried away with it myself, I have already bought about half of all the gifts I need get for people – so 2 or 3 weeks ago I had a word with myself and put the ban back in place, so I have been counting down the days until December 1st when I can start Christmassifying everything again. I have loads of other items to buy for people, I am going to start using Christmas themed buttons to plug on Plugboards, I am going to use my Christmas avatar every where, I am going to switch to the Christmas theme on Sway Forum, I might even finally get around to making a new (Christmassy, of course) layout. I am going to put up all the Christmas decorations downstairs in a week or 2 (my parents won’t want them up too early. And I am going to put up my personal decorations (lights, garlands, tinsel, Santa troll) this weekend…my mum came home from work a few days ago with a lovely sparkly 3ft pink artificial tree for me, it was reduced and she gets a staff discount so it was only £2.80, I can’t wait to get that up :hyper:
I have like zero room in my bedroom though, so quite where it’s all going to go I am not sure.

How about you guys? Decorations already up? Christmas shopping already done? Waiting a while longer? Last minute kinda guy/gay? Excited? Or BBBAAAAAAH HUMBUG?

In others news my lovely Fiance took me out for a meal on Tuesday night, we only went to Wetherspoons – hardly high class dining, but it makes me happy. I’d actually feel pretty uncomfortable in a ‘proper’ restaurant I think, so not me. Writing that last sentence reminded me that, even after being engaged for a year and a half now, I am still not used to referring to Gavin as my Fiance, in fact I’d go as far as to say I don’t like referring to him as my Fiance and I can’t really explain why. I think it somehow sounds somewhat pretentious, which is ridiculous because it’s just a word for a stage in a relationship. Boyfriend I like, Other half I life, and when the time finally comes I will love calling him my Husband…but Fiance just doesn’t work for me. Does any one else feel like that, or see where I am coming from…or is it just me and my weird inner workings doing their weird little…things?

I finally got another elliptical today, you may remember the last one I had had to go back because it was a pile of wank, and I had a heck of a time finding another suitable one. After it taking an hour and a half to assemble the first one, and this one being similar, I figured I’d be able to get it ready for action within the hour. How wrong was I? Well…about 3 and a half hours wrong apparently – it was a bitch and a half and took from 4pm until 8.30pm – and even now it’s not fully assembled because there was one part I just couldn’t do, it’s only an aesthetic thing though so the machine is usable…so far so good, although it’s a similar size to the last one it seems to ‘fit’ my size better…on the other one I felt like the foot peddles were too far apart and the handle bars too far forward, this one is perfecto in that sense and most importantly the computer seems to work and do every thing it’s meant to do. Only used it briefly so far though, so fingers crossed this one is a keeper!

Oh, and on Wednesday I hit a weight loss milestone…I have lost 2 stone now (28lbs), hurrah.

In other news, holy poobeads, a few entries ago I complained that my PR had dropped to a 2…well now it’s a 0 (previously a 5!)…as is Plugboard.org (previously a 5!)…as is RealityTVFan.org (previously a 2!). Swayforum.com has remained a 2…but that’s the site I am least bothered about having a PR on as I don’t sell any ad space on it and the like, and don’t exactly promote it or want it to be anything big.

It’s kinda funny how stressed some people are getting about it though and it amuses me slightly, I have seen google hate campaigns, buttons that declare google is an evil dictator and boycotts etc over it. It sucks and all – I have lost out on a lucrative(ish) advertiser because of it – but it’s really not the end of the world

So, what’s the deal with Despair then? Is it that it used to be good and it’s gone to shit lately, or has it always been like this? So far out of the nine comments I should have received I only got three, I’m no mathematician but even I know that sucks, also, am I meant to actually report the people who don’t comment, or is that done automatically? I am not sure if the report function is just intended for reporting abuse and the like…hmmm? Also if you do report someone, does it actually achieve anything or does it just send the admin an email that sits in a pile with 7000 other emails, I just wasted a further 10 minutes working out who hadn’t commented and reporting them, so I’d rather know if there’s even any point or not?

The thing is, there’s no way that whoever did it didn’t know they had done it, phone screens don’t break that easily…I’ve never had a broken one before and over the years my phones have been knocked about quite a bit, someone quite blatantly stood on it. I think Blakelyn has it right when she says:

Except I think it was more likely one of the people I was out with than some random person, because I’d have noticed a random person. The great news is though, I have taken it to a man in the market today and he says he can fix it for £10, thank gosh, that was like the minimum I was expecting it to be…it’s literally only the plastic screen that is cracked so isn’t a major job, it’s £10 I’d rather not be spending (you guys should know what I am like with money by now, miserly doesn’t even come close) but I can live with it. I’ll never hand my bag off to someone else in future though, it stays with me always.
