I moved RealityTVFan.org right away, and it’s taken a few months but now that I am settled and happy at HostGator I have started to move the rest of my sites over.

It’s taken a while, but HostGator wanted $75 per hour to do it for me and there was no way I was paying that much!

I moved Swaymyway.com and my hostees sites, Always, Dolce, Framecodes, Walkinthepark, WDITY and UK Bargains, last night and am now just in the process of making sure everything works how it should be — so if you encounter any problems let me know

Just one my site to go now, but it’s an important one because it’s what Gav and his dad use for email! Eep.

In other news, I think I am becoming a little obsessed with Twitter, I sort of didn’t understand it for a long time..but now I am getting the hang of things it’s a lot of fun (though I haven’t ventured into learning what ‘tweets’ are yet) and there’s actually a way to make money using it – there are several companies and the like on there that hold little contests, I won $30 last week with no effort! I need more people to follow and who are following me, so please go ahead and add me if you are on there and I will return the favour. I just wish that I could get Twitter mobile working, so that I can send updates when I am not at the computer, but each time I try to text them the code at the number they give…it just gives me an error and won’t send. Boo. I wonder if it’s meant for US carriers only, there doesn’t seem to be much information about that.
You might have seen me mention on Twitter Thursday that I was trying to beat my highest ever hit day on RealityTVFan.org but coming up 20 short, argh, but then I absolutely creamed it yesterday…beat it by over 250, woo.

Annnd finally, I have been working on a new blog the last week or so….it’s on Blogspot, which makes me feel a little dirty…I can’t remember the last time I had a site that wasn’t hosted by myself – but it’s meant to be a content blog that doesn’t need all the fancyness and I just don’t want any more bloody domains, I have too many of them as it is. It’s a UK bargain hunting site, you guys know I love my bargains and the like – so I figured why not share what I know? Don’t believe how frugal I am? Last week it took me three days to choose between Color Nutrient and Moisturizing Crystal Magic Soil 3-Pack and Color Nutrient and Moisturizing Crystal Magic Soil 5-Pack, the difference in price? 86c, that’s like 43p in my currency.

“I’ll just order the 5 pack, it’s 43p for pete’s sake”
“Yeah, but if they are crap I just wasted 43p, what’s the point?”

Any way, jeez what a detour – I am meant to be telling you about my super duper ‘Make me a logo and win some shiznit’ contest. Here’s the details.

I want a logo for RealityTVFan.org, a nice one. You can see the one I made, it’s OK but it’s nothing special is it? I’d like it to be more stand out, maybe with a little logo on I can use for other things, maybe with a TV or some other relevant image. Something fancy, ya know!

The deskcam is now live and will be for the next 30ish hours. Things you are likely to see me doing this Stalk me Sunday – being lame and getting excited when the clocks go forward 1 hour at 1am, posting on SwayForum, poking around in my wordpress admin panel that I have just updated to the spanking new wordpress 2.5 and creating/uploading my new theme (which happens to be…this theme) to RealityTVFan.org. Oooh, so exciting.

My mother has been in ill health and has spent the last 2 weeks incapacitated and in and out of hospital (nothing too serious, just sucky) so obviously she was unable to get me any thing or really make a fuss, but I had ordered this chair for myself using her credit card (aaah, using someone elses credit card to buy things = bliss), however when I opened it and started putting it together we realised it wasn’t going to work – I don’t really understand what the issue was, but it was something to do with one of the screws being threaded wrong? So yeah, had to hop straight on the phone to let them know and they are sending a replacement, though because of the Easter break I won’t be getting that until the end of this week. She also got me a bunch of flowers, they are neat…two tone pink/white and apparently they are special long lasting ones.

My dad made me a coffee cake – I say he made it for me, he made it for him really…since I had expressly told him I didn’t want a cake this year – trying to lose those extra pounds but I still had a slice, and very nice it was too.

A few of my friends called me at the last minute to see if I wanted to go out, I said yes initially – but then every 5 minutes the plans kept changing, until in the end I wasn’t at all sure what the plans were but I think it was that I was going to be the 7th wheel and we were going clubbing (not my cup of tea) so I just decided to stay home and work out instead.

Plus we found out that a family member has cancer and only a few months to live, so yeah, not the best birthday ever.

In other news, I am currently looking for a new theme for Swaymyway.com, yeah already! Not because I feel I need or even want a new one…I really like this one, but because I had decided to redesign RealityTVFan.org – I needed something clean, something blue, something with 3 columns, something where I could add my own logo to the header – and after searching template sites for ages, I realised I had the perfect template already, this one. But for my own sanity I couldn’t stand having the same design on two of my sites, so I have gone from looking for a theme for RealityTVFan.org, to here

I have no idea when that will be going up though, maybe some time this next week – assuming I can find a nice one.

AAAAnnd finally – we’ve had loads of snow (by UK standards) over the last few days, it literally just started snowing again right now, woo. I absolutely love snow, there’s nothing better and people who don’t like snow are just wrong. The night before last I went out on my own to play in it at about 5am, totally ridiculous I know, but I can’t resist the lure. I uploaded a bunch of pictures to my new Flickr account (can anyone suggest a goof flickr wordpress plugin? I did install one but it clearly doesn’t work *points to area that says ‘Recent Photos’*) but here are some tasters for you….oooh snnoooooww…prettttyyy.

Gav and I got along swimmingly, 8 days we were together…that’s actually the longest we have spent together in a long long while…I was worried we’d run out of things to say or start hating on each other, especially as he was off work so we were literally together 24/7, but it was all good, of course it was – we get on very well most of the time :throb:

We went shopping one day and I got a little cardigan in the sale, I have been after one for months mainly just to wear around the house but didn’t want to pay £15+ for one (yes, I am that cheap ) so finding this for a fiver was perfect, and it’s so nice that it’s already been worn out several times and isn’t just an ‘at home’ item, woo. Though I only bought that to cheer myself up after my beautiful snow boots that I mentioned in the last entry got cancelled due to stock issues, boooooo, I am still sore about that over a week later. We had a kebab one day, we went to subway twice, we had a Greggs chicken bake one day and we went out to eat in Weatherspoons one night with Jonathan. We went to the pub one night, we played a little golf and we were meant to be going to the cinema to see Juno with some free preview tickets I had got but I got the day wrong so we missed it. Oooops.

When I got back I got straight back into my usual healthy eating and working out, even though Gav was here and I don’t usually work out in front of any one! But I knew that if I didn’t hop straight back on the elliptical, it’d get harder and harder to.

I also had the most amazing item of post waiting for me to open, two in fact…one was a slight ‘windfall’ that I wasn’t expecting and the other is something I am going to talk about in my next entry, as first I need to go and do some serious thanking of some certain lovely SwayForum members :hyper::heart:

In other quick news, it’s the Big Brother Celebrity Hijack finale tonight, it’s honestly been a really enjoyable series and makes me have some faith that BB9 will be better than the last few years have been. Nice housemates, interesting housemates, change in format, no Davina (sorry, but not a Davina fan), good celebrities, few arguments but lots of tension, lots of humour, the ‘right’ people have been being evicted for a change and there’s not been not toooo much manipulation from producers :thumbsup:
I am rooting for Jeremy to win, yeah he’s a bit of a mean twat but I like that in a guy, I like his sense of humour and he reminds me a lot of Gav to be honest…I’d also love to see Amy win, she’s strong and has that same sense of dry humour, she’s a girl who knows her mind but isn’t a bitch. I don’t want to see Nathan or Anthony win, they fit the ‘generic’ Big Brother image of safe, nice, boring, attractive guys who win because the teenage girls fancy them!

So, Happy New Year you lovelies you. Gavin got off work early and drove up here, despite having to head back for work the next day and not having a day off in 2 weeks, aww :throb: He didn’t arrive until 11pm though, so it was too late to really do anything. So we just drove off up the way at about 20 to 12 and found a great contryfied lane to park on, then we got out of the car and watched the fireworks at midnight. It was pretty awesome, we got a really good spot because you could see for miles in 3 directions and the fireworks were going on for a good 15 – 20 minutes! Then it was back to mine for some mindless TV, drinkies, foodies and bringing in the new year with a bang

I have seen a bunch of people post about their 2007, the highs and lows and achievements and failures etc – I am not going to do that because 2007 was a bit of a nothing year for me, nothing great happened, nothing horrible happened, no major changes to relationship status, employment status, living arrangements etc. I have also seen a bunch of people posting their new years resolutions and I am also not going to do that, I don’t do new years resolutions – I feel like no one really means them when they make them, it’s just something to do because others are doing it, and that’s why most have failed within a month. I did however scribble down a few ‘goals’ I have set for my online endeavours over the next few months that I will share with you.

* Bring Swaymyway.com back to it’s former glory – It’s clear that in 2007 I abandoned this blog, taking that 2-3 month hiatus really wasn’t the best idea it turns out, it’s amazing how fast ‘loyal’ visitors disappear if you don’t feed them for a while. Though even before, and after the hiatus it’s obvious I haven’t been putting much effort into running this site. So bringing it back to it’s former glory will involve a) Making a new layout, no template…something I make myself. This current layout has been up how long? b) Getting traffic back up, so prepare for lots of return comments and social networking site widgets. c) Removal of all adverts except the banner ads. No one clicks on the adsense ads here any way, so I may as well remove them and concentrate on optimizing them on other sites instead. d) blog at least twice a week.

* Plugboard.org – as above. It has been pretty abandoned and left to run itself over the last year. The ads are more lucrative so will stay, but traffic needs improving greatly.

* RealityTVFan.org – Work to get more hits and research more money making opportunities.

* Create a new weight loss site. I am planning on registering a new domain to blog about my weight loss, honestly…it’s for the money, I won’t lie. RealityTVFan.org has shown me how easy it is to make an income online, setting up a site to make money – why didn’t I ever do this before? I’d never ‘sell out’ swaymyway and plugboard in this way, because they are ‘personal’ sites, they were never created with the intention to make money…but RealityTVFan.org was and it’s easy. I chose weight loss as the subject for the simple fact that it is part of my daily life, working out, eating right, trying to be healthy are all things I do every day – so it’ll be easy for me to blog about often, add content and as it’s a ‘journey’ constantly add to etc. I need to come up with a name though, I can’t think of any thing good…and even the not so good stuff I come up with is all taken, it’s amazingly hard to come up with any sort of weight loss related domain name that isn’t already taken. Any suggestions?

* Go to bed earlier. “That’s not online related you silly” I hear you thinking (yes, I can hear you think…beware!), but it’s the Internet that keeps me up until past 6am most nights…namely Bingo…since discovering free* bingo it’s actually become my main source of money, but in order to make as much as I do I need to play when the rooms are quiet…aka the dead of night. So although come 5am I am ready for bed and demanding I log off, when there’s just a few people playing and I am winning it’s hard to tear myself away, knowing if I stay another hour or so I can make $20 – $40.

And that is all.

The thing is I wish I could proudly now show off my beautifully wrapped presents and make people go ‘Oooh’ and ‘Aaaah’ in wonder, but I am officially the worst present wrapper in the world, plus I hate it, I hate spending money on things I don’t have to spend it on – but I’d willingly pay someone to wrap all my Xmas pessies and make them pretty. I actually tried really hard as well, I wrapped most stuff in my usual unstylish manner, but I took the time and care to do one for each person ‘properly’ with uber shiny and sparkly paper, ribbon, tags, bows etc – they still look like they were wrapped by a 5 year old. Oh well, it’s the thought that counts, right? :laugh:

I also did 55 minutes cardio tonight, which adds to the knackeredness. But it’s surprising how easy it’s become for me, when I first got my Elliptical a few months ago, I could handle about 20 minutes doing a gentle plod along before dieing and stopping before I pass out. Now I can do 55 minutes going at it hard, and only really stop because I am bored or I have pins and needles in my feet :biting: Don’t get me wrong, it’s not ‘easy’ – that’s a bad choice of words, I sweat like a betty, I grunt and groan, I wail that I want to diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeee, but It’s easy to stick at it rather than give up at the first opportunity!

I had a slight blip a few weeks ago, where I inexplicably gained 3lbs – but that’s come off again within the last 2 weeks (+1lb) so that’s OK, though it does mean I have buckleys chance of getting down to the (mini) goal I had set myself to be before Xmas, unless I some how manage to lose 3lbs in the next 4 days – which isn’t going to happen, given it takes me about a month to lose 3lbs!

Oh well, it’s still going in the right direction, I feel I am making progress at last, I feel healthier….I just need to be very careful to not allow myself to go crazy over Xmas and New Year & make sure I don’t use it as an excuse to ditch the working out.

In other news, any Reality TV fans in the house? This American writers strike is a brilliant thing for us reality fans huh? The Biggest Loser 4 literally just finished on Thursday and already season 5 starts in 2 weeks. Big Brother is having an extra season this year that starts in February. We are getting an extra celebrity version of The Apprentice and Survivor China just finished last weekend (Yay Todd) but we only have to wait until February for Survivor Micronesia to begin. Happy days.

It’s so much fun though, I have never really played the Mario Party games much before, I think I had one on an N64 emulator I had on my computer a few years ago but that’s about it. And, in our defense 7am isn’t that late in our world, considering our usual bed time is around 5am and it’s not uncommon for us to still be up at 6am! It sucks that (as far as I can work out) you can’t play it over wifi, so we can only play when he’s here or I am there, pooey.

Last weekend I had a lot of fun watching the reality TV shows I usually watch any way….because I had a bet on them! Gambling on reality TV shows is fun. There was a code for 5 x £5 sports bets for new customers at Skybet, so I signed up and placed 2 of them on ‘virtual racing’ – didn’t win, wasn’t having fun…then I realised that TV show outcomes count as ‘sports betting’ so put the remaining 3 on that…I had a fiver at 2/1 on Alesha being kicked off the X-Factor and a fiver at 2/1 on Kate to finallllly get voted off Strictly Come Dancing, only won £20 in total on both of them…but it’s £20 for nothing isn’t it? It’s funny how it changes your view though, I absolutely can’t stand ‘girl group’ Hope (Girl group? Only one of them does the bloody signing and they have backing singers up so loud in the background when they are trying to do harmonies to try and hide the fact they can’t sing, and their ugly, and they can’t dance….and NO Louis, I don’t care how many times you tell me that there’s a gap in the market for them at the moment and they are better than Girls Aloud, I won’t damn well like them, OK?) but when they were in the bottom two with Alesha I was chanting ‘save Hope, save Hope, save Hope’ :yuk1::rotfl:

I also have the remaining £5 bet at 10/1 on Janice Dickinson to win I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. That’s currently looking like it might actually happen, she’s storming all of the online polls…but that doesn’t mean she will win…David Gest was a huge online favourite last year but some how got wiped out 4th and the ever so dull Matt Willis went on to win. Hope she does it as that’ll be another £50 in my pocket!

I hope more free bet offers come up so I can play some more, but I won’t be using any of my own money…I don’t do that.

Speaking of I’m a Celeb… How bloody obvious was it that Marc Bannerman and his girlfriend had set up the whole Cerys Matthews flirtation thing in order to get publicity? I wonder if she was in on it too? I’d like to think not as she does seem sweet, but it wouldn’t surprise me…they ‘fell in love’ way too quickly. I am so glad that the public saw through it and voted the attention seeking tool out at the very first opportunity. Well done GBP.
