So I know what I am doing for the rest of the evening, I am going to Play 4 Park Inn on the Park Inn website where by doing so I could win some pretty spiffing prizes. Let me tell you more. They are currently running a competition where by simply playing a game of "4 in a row" you gain entries to a weekly draw and a main draw.

In the weekly draws two winners are chosen each week from all entrants and one will win an iPad and the other a £250 voucher that can be used at over 200 Park Inn hotels throughout the world. In the main prize draw that takes place on December 18th, all entrants throughout the course of the competition are in with the chance of winning a weeks stay for two people at the Park Inn hotel in either Manchester, Berlin or Tunisia as well as a £300 giftcard to spend as you please on the hotel and it's facilities.

The best part is that the game is simple and fun and you don't even need to win in order to enter, just submit your score if you win or lose and it counts as one entry to the competition.

There are only a few terms such as that you need to be 18 years old and can submit a maximum of 20 entries per week, but you can read the full terms and conditions of the competition directly on the website.

I would love to win any or all of the prizes on offer, I think it's a great competition. An iPad is on top of my Christmas wishlist and I always love to get away to stay in nice hotels – I just love exploring new cities and if I won the main prize I would definitely go to Tunisia and get to explore a whole new country as well

I have been doing this little thing known as 'paid blogging' for a long while now, since around 2007 – and I have worked with many different companies and advertisers over that time. From tiny websites that get one hit a week to huge well known brands like Omega and Walmart.

Imagine how excited I would be if I got an offer from ITV to encourage people to watch the new series of I'm A Celebrity Get me out of Here or promote the X Factor tour? I certainly wouldn't have any difficulty meeting the 250 word requirement on that one.

I can see why this blog used to be popular back in the days when everyone had a personal blog and the only reason we ran them was for the shits and giggles – not to milk them for every penny we can as we all do these days.

Neon wee, falling off various workout equipment, my dramas with various ginormous spiders – I didn’t half talk about some crap.

It’s also interesting to see the change in my use of language. I have posts from back in the days that I didn’t use capitalisation, apostrophes or spell check – cringe.

Still, it was fun to get nostalgic for a while

I recently came across Hpage.com that does neither of these things, it’s totally free to use and they just show one banner advert on your page.

What’s even better is that they offer so many of the functions, extras, addons and services you’d expect to get from a paid host. Allowing you to run forums and polls and contact forms among so much more. They also offer 300mbs of space and they have more than 300 designs for you to choose from.

Best of all the site suits any skill level, so if you already know your way around HTML and other scripting languages you won’t be help back by restrictions – but if you are totally clueless you can use their page building software to do all the hard work for you.

I just created a page myself to redirect traffic to one of my other domains, every back link helps! It took me literally five minutes to do and I will definitely be recommending them to my friends

Well since my last update Swaymyway has increased page rank again, it’s now a PR 3 and that’s really made me want to get more dedicated to the site again so I am going to try and blog a lot more often. Like I used to in the good old days – can you believe I’ve been running this site for over 10 years now? Crazy.

I am also on the verge of buying a new mobile phone, you guys might remember that I used to buy new phones all the time — I’d get bored really quickly and usually sell my old one and get a new one about every 6 months! I can’t remember how long I have had my current one, but it’s been a loooooong time for me, maybe even more than two years.

It’s now stopped working properly though, the buttons only seem to work half the time — so I have no choice but to get a new one even though I would rather not, I can’t find one that makes me fall in love with it so it pains me to have to get a new one just for the sake of it!

I have almost decided on the LG Cookie but want to wait until I have seen it ‘in person’ before getting it. I have never had a touch screen one before.

In other news, any of you delightful graphically talented people fancy making me a header image for UK Bargains? So far I have paid two people to design one for me and paid 1 person with ECs in the Entrecard Market and they have produced…shit…so my budget is pretty much all used up, and I am now scrounging a freebie

I just want it to fit in with the colours of the template, be around 800×100 in size, have the words ‘UK Bargains’ on it and some sort of related image(s) such as shopping bags, pound sign (£), shopping trolley, browser window etc etc

Mad love and credit via the art of linkage both here and there for any one who can hook me up with something half decent.

My host move is complete now, all sites now reside on Hostgators server. I just went to cancel my dreamhost account but though I better check the FAQs first to see how I go about getting the 6+ months back that I have pre paid and about fell off my chair when I read that they don’t refund that — I am staying calm at the moment and waiting for them to confirm it via a ticket I just sent in, but if that’s true there’s going to be drama…how could they possibly charge me for 6+ months of service….that they have not and will not be providing me with?! There must be some mistake.

Have you seen the new themes on GMail? When I noticed the design change yesterday I figured there must be some way I could edit the colour scheme, but look as I might I could not find it — I logged on just now and saw a big note saying to go to the themes tab to change it, so whether I was being blind yesterday or they only just added it — who knows?

I have set it to the desk theme at the moment, I have a similar theme on one of my other WordPress blogs. Though I think once the novelty wears off I will switch it to something similar.

I moved RealityTVFan.org right away, and it’s taken a few months but now that I am settled and happy at HostGator I have started to move the rest of my sites over.

It’s taken a while, but HostGator wanted $75 per hour to do it for me and there was no way I was paying that much!

I moved Swaymyway.com and my hostees sites, Always, Dolce, Framecodes, Walkinthepark, WDITY and UK Bargains, last night and am now just in the process of making sure everything works how it should be — so if you encounter any problems let me know

Just one my site to go now, but it’s an important one because it’s what Gav and his dad use for email! Eep.

In other news, I think I am becoming a little obsessed with Twitter, I sort of didn’t understand it for a long time..but now I am getting the hang of things it’s a lot of fun (though I haven’t ventured into learning what ‘tweets’ are yet) and there’s actually a way to make money using it – there are several companies and the like on there that hold little contests, I won $30 last week with no effort! I need more people to follow and who are following me, so please go ahead and add me if you are on there and I will return the favour. I just wish that I could get Twitter mobile working, so that I can send updates when I am not at the computer, but each time I try to text them the code at the number they give…it just gives me an error and won’t send. Boo. I wonder if it’s meant for US carriers only, there doesn’t seem to be much information about that.
You might have seen me mention on Twitter Thursday that I was trying to beat my highest ever hit day on RealityTVFan.org but coming up 20 short, argh, but then I absolutely creamed it yesterday…beat it by over 250, woo.

Annnd finally, I have been working on a new blog the last week or so….it’s on Blogspot, which makes me feel a little dirty…I can’t remember the last time I had a site that wasn’t hosted by myself – but it’s meant to be a content blog that doesn’t need all the fancyness and I just don’t want any more bloody domains, I have too many of them as it is. It’s a UK bargain hunting site, you guys know I love my bargains and the like – so I figured why not share what I know?
