Well, we went to the big city fireworks display in Derby at the weekend and we weren’t all that impressed. It didn’t even compare to the smaller local one we went to last year. It’s not that it was bad, it lasted a long time and was nice, it just wasn’t very spectacular. Plus we got lost getting back to the car, what should have taken us 10 minutes to walk took us 40 minutes and then it took us another 30 minutes to even get out of the car park — this meant we didn’t get home until much later than planned so we couldn’t even go out afterwards like we were meant to.

Over all, a bit of a disaster!

Still, I always like fireworks…enjoy the pretty pretty pictures! These were taken before it really started to pour down with rain, as I didn’t want my camera to get wet!
