When I was updating the Past Layouts page I realised that it had been a whole entire year since I had changed the design here at Swaymyway.com, a year - are you serious? ha.

Here it is any way, the site probably doesn’t look all that different but it is on the coding side of things, I now have an up to date version of wordpress, all pages are now within wordpress, the sidebars are controlled by widgets - so no excuses not to change themes often as it’s as easy as pie now, the theme wasn’t made by me, it’s a downloadable template again that I have just edited, and that’s probably what I will continue to do in the future - my web design flare is long gone I feel. Plus about half of my content has been wiped.

I also have all the latest fancy schmancey plugins installed, firestats, commentluv, subscribe to comments, tag cloud etc

And a big difference you might notice - No adverts, well…almost no adverts, there’s the few in the side bar there under ‘Featured sites’ that I am committed to, but no adsense adverts and I am not longer selling banner space. Swaymyway.com is going back to it’s routes - or something.

I updated the Links page dramatically, if you should be on my friends list but some how are not, give me a shout and I will add you. I also killed off the link exchange page, and was going to go through the list but it was extremely tiresome, there was over 300 links and within the first 25 there was only 1 site that was still active and had my link on it - so I just removed the lot, if we did exchange links and your site is still around and you want to continue the exchange, give me a shout and I will add you to the friends list.

Ok that’s about all. I still have some little tweakings and what not to do, but for now I present to you Swaymyway.com Version 56 - hope you like it
