So, the nice surprise I got from the members of Swayforum that I mentioned in my last entry? It was a Christmas card, but not just any old Christmas card…they had all actually signed it and taken a photo of themselves holding it then made that into a collage! That means that the card physically traveled all over the world, starting in Canada, via several people throughout America then over to Europe to visit several folks and then finally to me! They’d been planning this since August, and even had a whole secret forum set up to plan their lovely sneaky plan (where amusingly I was only ever referred to as ‘The reciprocant’ just in case I decided to do some ego surfing and somehow came across the place, haha). And the wonderfully crafty
Marianne created this flash animation to chart the cards progress.

How cool is that? That people online wanted to go to sooooooo much effort to do that for me? I’m not the sappy type, but really I am touched and it’s something I will always treasure, even when I am old and grey I can look back on those crazy days in my twenties when I spent a lot of time online on that silly little forum I ran.
