You know, I think I have decided to just buy an iPod, the new pink nanos are just irresistable to me, GASP SHOCK HORROR I know.
If you are a newer visitor to my site you are probably thinking ‘Yeah, and?’ but long term visitors will know about my long term obsession with trying to win one!

At first it was that I really really did want one but I couldn’t afford it, so I tried to win one…eventually, after several failed attempts I realised I wasn’t that bothered any more and even though I probably could have afforded one I didn’t want to buy one, but I was obsessed with just trying to win one!! The first competiton I entered for one was the one at Active Webhosting, where you had to get people to vote for you every day, I didn’t expect to win that one…but I came soooo close that I entered it the following month also, again came close but no cigar….and given that the same 2 sites just won it month after month after month I decided to call it a day with that one.
Next came the Walkers iPod giveaway, they gave away an iPod every hour of every day for a month…you just had to get the code off of special packets of crisps, enter it onto the site and then each hour they’d draw a winner. I must have entered it about 50 times (they also had some NPN codes…and lots of other people gave me theirs), stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to try and enter during ‘quiet’ hours so I had more chance etc etc. That didn’t work out.
Then there was the contests at IWOOT, I entered the one where you win an iPod for review/photo/video of the month a few times, I entered one where you had to pick a name for their pet Ram, I entered one where you had to work out what product these tiny little cut out images belonged to and I entered one where you had to work out a riddle…all to no avail.
I then entered loads and loads of little ones inbetween….I just went to some competition listing site and entered all the iPod ones, though I knew I had no chance with those as they were all just basically ‘Enter your details and win an iPod’ or ’sign up here and be in with the chance to win an iPod’ etc/
The most recent one I entered was the Freepay one, you know…where you have to get 5 people to complete offers in order to get it? I was so annoyed at that one because my intention was just to sign up, plug my referral URL now and then and sit back and wait…even if it was going to take a year, or more…then just a few days after I signed up they changed the rules so you now only had 90 days after signing up to get all referrals, so yeah…that didn’t work out either.

Now I am back in the ‘I really really want one’ camp so since I have an Adsense payment due I am going to save up all my online money until I can afford one (it’s the only way I can justify buying it in my head haha). I have set up an iPod Fund page to mark my progress, so please go buy some Advertising off me so I can add it to the fund
