Coooeeeeee :bye1:

I had a nice chilled time on my holiday, I got the coach down to Gav’s on Tuesday :bus:, we wandered round Derby for a bit and then went back to his, then we went to the pub with some of his friends.

Wednesday we did…something.

Thursday we went to Ikea to get Gav a cabinet thing, but of course he didn’t buy one…every single time we go to Ikea to buy something specific we…don’t :rotfl:

On Friday we went to Matlock Bath, which is like this quaint little lake side village thing….we were going to go on the cable cars, but didn’t.

Saturday we went off to the caravan :car::caravan:, we set off at 12pm….didn’t get there until after 4pm because we got stuck in a bloody traffic jam, it’s a long time since I got stuck in traffic like that…it took us 40 minutes to do 1 mile!! We chilled and unpacked for a bit after getting there, went down for a look at the beach and then headed out into the towny bit where we got very very drunk, we went into ‘The Bell Inn’ which we go in every year and the same glass collecting guy still works there, it’s funny…he just walks around non stop looking gormless and picks up glasses the second they are dead, last year we were timing how long it took him…I think it ranged from 4 seconds to 3 minutes :rofl2:
Then we went in some other pubs, including one that had karaoke on, that was fun, I have never been in a karaoke bar before….it’s fun to laugh at others while sitting in the comfort of your chair with no intentions of doing it yourself  We rocked home at God knows what time, ate pizza and garlic bread, had a massive row that resulted in a packet of biscuits being thrown at my head and me sleeping on the sofa :dizzy:

Sunday I got up early and went down to the beach for about 2 hours to do some thinking, Gav was just getting up as I got back and we sort of made up, I went for a nap as I was knackered from sleeping out in the lounge (I’m still not sure how it was me who slept out there, surely that’s the mans job!!), then we went on to Ingoldmells point…we have been there before but only to Fantasy Island (a theme park thingy), we either never realised or it hadn’t been open in previous years but there was a whole new area to explore….loads of nice pubs, big beach, lots of takeout type places, arcades and cheesy seaside shops, so we hung around there for about 5 hours, I bought a smelly ball :bouncy: and we had a Subway, we’d never had Subway before…we always wanted to but cos neither of us had ever been in before we didn’t know how it worked so just never bothered, I am glad we did go because they are really nice…and relatively healthy :) Then we went back to the caravan for a bit and passed out…then got up at about 4am to go down to the beach to watch the sunrise, I had it all pictured in my head…snuggled up under my blanket, sleepy, warm, snuggly, romantic. However it didn’t quite work out, the entrance was blocked off so I had to bloody climb over a big fence, not an easy feat. We were both shattered and moody and we gave up after waiting about 30 minutes with no sign of the sun coming up :sunrise: I swear I looked up the times before we came away, but I guess I got it wrong

Monday we went to Skegness, which is like a much bigger holiday resort a few miles up the coast, we chilled on the beach a while…then went for a pint, that was fun because we were right next to a log flume so got to watch everyone going on that…then we went into an arcade and got a cheesy ‘us’ portrait done, it’s crap…it’s like just a black and white photo but it’s meant to look drawn, it only cost £2 like though so who cares…it’s cute (I’d show you but I left it in Gav’s boot, doh!) and Gav won me a My Little Pony out of one of those grabby machines, yay. Then we went and played ‘Adventure Golf’ which was fun, the course was really really pretty…it had a pirate theme I believe, Gav won…I was doing so well but I screwed up one hole and that was me done. I won last year, he won this year. Then we sat outside another pub that was by a pool, got sunburnt. Then we went on a massive Ferris Wheel, something we said every year we were going to do but never did…I think we both wish we hadn’t, aside from the fact it was a rip off (£4 for about 2 minutes) neither of us like heights so we were just shitting our pants waiting for it to be over :mf_sleep:
I can’t remember what we did Monday night, but I am guessing it involved pubs :P
Tuesday we were meant to be going home at around 7pm but we decided to stay another day, yay. We walked down to the beach and then into The Bell Inn that was currently on ‘Happy Hour’, which is basically Buy 1 get 1 Free….weeeeeee. My feet were absolutely killing me though, from all the walking etc the day before, I suffer with my feet…something I got off my mother, so I needed to keep drinking to numb the pain  After a few in there we got on an open top bus to Ingoldmells point, did the beach thing again, got more sunburnt, did the Happy Hour in another pub thing, ate at Subway again, went to Fantasy Island where we looked at rides but didn’t go on anything, had a game of pool…I went for a wee in the smelliest female toilets I have ever been near  Then we went to a fish and chip place and I got a small sausage and Gav a MASSIVE kebab (even though we had just eaten subway about 1hr earlier!). Then we went to another pub for another Happy hour :disco:, got the bus back to the place we were staying, had another few drinkies in a karaoke bar and then headed home. My feet have never been in so much pain, I could hardly even make it to bed they were so bad, my ankles have never been so swollen…I feel sorry for pregnant ladies if that’s what it’s like every day!

(any one still reading this? It’s one long ass blog huh? say ‘bananas’ in your comment if you are still reading…but don’t make it obvious, slip it into your comment somehow lol)

Wednesday we got up about 11am, cleaned the van, packed up and headed home…poor Gav, we got back to mine after 3 hours of driving, he had time for a drink of juice then had to set off for the 1 and a half hour drive home in order to make it back to work at 5pm, he must have been shattered by the time he got home at 11.30pm!

Aaaaand, yeah OK that’s it :) The place we go was a lot busier this year than in previous years, but that’s because we deliberately went more ‘in-season’ and on a weekend….it was so full of chavs and fat people though, not that Gav and I are posh, or snobby or anything…but literally the whole place consisted of fat old people (and I am not just talking about people packing a few extra pounds, I am talking FAAAAAAAT) and young chavvy couples with about 20 kids hanging off them.

In other news, I had a few eBay related dramas while I was away….I sold someone a phone a few months ago, the Samsung E530 I bought but didn’t like the colour of….well they have been contacting me for a while now asking where and when the phone was bought, since it stopped working properly and Samsung won’t fix it unless they know, I told them I would try find out and have contacted the person I got it from numerous times but they don’t respond…so what else can I do? Now they are saying that Samsung say the phone is stolen and if I don’t get the information for them they will have to ‘Take matters further’ (aka phone the fuzz on me I think) :g:
I told them, go for it…I haven’t done anything wrong, I doubt it was stolen any way because it was all boxed and with all the accessories, they were probably just saying it to try scare me but all it’s done is make me not want to try and help them any more! :furious3:
Also….I sold someone some boots a while ago, my first international sale….France, posted the things back on June 8th but they say they never arrived so they have filed a dispute with paypal, I have told them I am not refunding them just based on their word, since I have a ‘Proof of Postage’ slip and a return address on the package so it’ll make it back to me eventually if it indeed did not arrive. But I think paypal will find in their favour and tell me I need to refund them then take up getting my money back from the post office myself. Boo.

We have been eating healthy at my house too. Yesterday my mom bought some grapes, apples, bananas, strawberries, and yeah. Subway can be the devil sometimes, they don’t really have the healthiest food.

Haha as if that wasn’t obvious.

Looks like you had a great time. I’d love to get away even just for a few days, I need it.

Yeah, so that ebay crap is well, crap. I hate stupid people on stupic ebay. I’ve gotten lucky so far, no issues buying or selling. My sister has had problems in the past, you can get scammed very easily on there. I don’t see why you should have to refund them, you have your proof of shipment, and there is insurance for a reason. Seems like once it was in the hands of the mail that it is technically in the buyers hands and their responsibility… Just my opinion.

Wow! I’m a little late reading this, but it sounds like you and Gav had such a great time. I despise Ferris Wheels (or any sort of amusement park ride, for that matter) so I would’ve been shaking in my boots as well.

Scott and I also had one of those cheesy portraits done where it’s supposed to look like a drawing. I framed it and put it on my entertainment center, but of course Scott thinks I’m bananas for doing so!

matlock bath is a river-side town, not a ‘little lake side village thing’. i was once locked up in the police cells there, i went bananas!!! *true*
