I’m baaack!
Actually, I have been back for ages, I was just too lazy to blog…plus I was enjoying all the birthday wishes, thanks everyone :)
I had a pretty nice birthday considering I got no pressies off of anyone other than Gav and a bunch of people forgot completely haha
Gav got me a super fancy logitech cordless mouse and keyboard, it’s really really nice! I definitely need a nice sleek, black TFT now though…my shitty monitor looks shameful in comparison!

log2Look at the Crazy Lady!log1Look at the Crazy Lady!

He also got me flowers *Points to webcam* —>
Flowers are great, I could happily receive flowers every week for life…but the funny thing is my love of flowers is pretty recent, had someone bought me flowers a few years ago I’d have been like…
‘WTF, flowers?! Please buy me beer or pink things next time!’

I don’t really enjoy being 26 though, I feel really old…25 = young adult, 26 = proper adult…and I am by no means a ‘proper’ adult. Gah, old old old.

I’m currently on a ‘get healthy’ kick, I really do need to lose some weight…I piled on loads the last few years due to going on the contraceptive pill and quitting smoking, but rather than trying to get it off I sort of…accepted defeat…and then continued to pig out and be lazy and let it get out of hand!
I wish I knew how to eat properly though, I’ll eat things thinking I am being dead good only for someone to go ‘Pasta? I thought you were trying to lose weight?!’
If I ever win the lottery, or get rich I am so going to hire an expert to learn all the foods and do and don’t like and then cook me every single meal *daydreams*
I know fruit and veg are a big ‘yes yes’ but this causes me problems because I just do not like fruit! Apples I can eat but I don’t exactly enjoy them, all other fruits are just gross..I don’t know what it is, it’s like they are too sharp for me! Any tips on how to get fruit into my diet without actually having to eat it? lol

I’ve also taken to going for a brisk walk in the middle of the night, while I was out last night I was just thinking how crazy I’d look to anyone who noticed…I go out at around 2am, in my PJs, walk up and down the road and around the avenue, punching my arms as I go…assuming that no one will see me, but of course someone could…someone could see me every single night and have me pegged as ‘That crazy girl from down the road who goes for a walk in her PJs every night’ - Awesome, I’ve always wanted to be a crazy :)
I have just re-listed my Samsung phone on eBay, it actually sold almost 2 weeks ago but the person who bought it was a scammer, they wanted me to send to phone to Nigeria ‘for their mother’s birthday…but they didn’t have the funds just yet, it’d be cleared in a few days, but if I don’t post the phone right away they won’t get it in time, oh poor mother…oh no, what to do what to do!’
Pfft, obviously I didn’t send the phone, reported them straight to eBay..who only just deleted the MOFO’s account and gave me back my final value fee! What a pain in the arse! I wonder how many times they have to try that before some durhead falls for it? Must be 100 times at least, people aren’t totally thick…right?

Finally, big hugs to The CarlyWarly *HUG*

Your just like me, I hate fruit and all the healthy stuff. Anyway glad you had a good birthday.

That seems a great idea about walking around, I would do it if I was never so lazy and tired.

Oh and why did Carly get a plug, I want one *Goes off and sluks*

Okay, I hate people who think a diet can’t include pasta or bread. Those are good for you! Just make sure you eat whole wheat pasta and whole wheat breat and don’t eat too much. You’ll lose weight the healthy way by eating grains, dairy, fruits and vegetables and meat/eggs/nuts.

Try sticking to the 80/20 rule; 80% of what you eat has to be totally heatlhy, the other 20% can be kind of healthy (sugared cereals, crackers, canned fruits, etc) and can include a ‘bad’ snack every now and then.

Don’t obsess over your food and don’t listen to people who tell you what you can’t eat. In a good diet, there’s nothing you can’t eat. It’s all about moderation.

And just in case you don’t: for god’s sake, eat three meals a day and never, ever skip your breakfast. You need it to kickstart your metabolism.

This has been another episode of Lisa Gets On Her Soapbox. We hope you’ve enjoyed the show; please tune again next time.

Also, I have that very same Ikea mousemat :)

Why dont you try getting a smoothie maker? Smoothies are awesome and that way you wont be eating the fruit, you’ll be drinking it ;)

Oh Starlet I’ve been offline for the past few days and online only irregularly for the past month, but I still wanted to say..

HAAPPPPPY BELATED BIRTHDAAAAAAAYYYY~!!!!!

here, I even have you a little something: http://i1.tinypic.com/s4yj2g.jpg

Hope you like it :D I’ll be back at the forum sometime soon, assignments are taking my life O_o

Have you heard of Fit for Life? It’s this pretty famous book (I just found out), and to lose weight, exercise is important, not eating before 12 noon (just juices, liquids & fruits), not overeating for each meal and not combining wrong foods. Like no chicken & potatoes, fish & rice, etc if you’re going to have something heavy, couple it with something light. If you’re going to have a meat, don’t have a starch. Like that :D And, liquids fill you up! Drink fruit juices =D

:) Join the club with your kb/mouse. I bought the Logitech MX5000 Bluetooth Laser. Between this and my computer case, along with the rest of my entertainment system, my monitor looks like crap. I still have my emachines 17 inch flat screen that came with my old pc, now I need a 17 inch flat PANEL lol. I’m waiting a few months before I get mine though, I think…

I actually DO know how you can get your fruits (and veggies) without actually eating them. It’s this thing called Juice+ (www.juiceplus.com). They’re supposed to be extremely healthy for you, but they’re kinda expensive.

it’s not really about what you eat, but more when you eat it :) I know myself that i can lose already some weight by eating within the proper times and not after 8 o’clock in the evening :P haha

but good luck with it ! and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!!
i have been in paris, and had some serious health problems so that’s why i haven’t been around that much :(
