What I definitely don’t understand about eBay is why people will pay more for something second hand in an auction (where there are no guarantees you won’t get ripped off) than you’d pay for the same thing new in a reputable shop.
I decided to get myself the Sims 2, first thing I did obviously was fire up Kelkoo to see how much it is new…£20 in PCWorld and Game…ok so I decide I will try get it on eBay for £15…I’ve now been watching and bidding various ones for about 4 days and they are selling for £25 - £30, the cheapest I have seen one go for (incl p+p) is £19 :dizzy:

Either these people who are bidding are a bit bloody stupid, or I am for thinking eBay = Bargains!

I made a crimbo avatar and banner…
xmasavAnd so this is Christmas…
sway47bannerAnd so this is Christmas…

…and I keep drawing Santa hats on everything I can find *points to cam*

I also did make you a gift, click here to see/save it :)
My phone is also very in the Christmas spirit, I have a Christmas ringtone, A Santa dongle and a Santa hat that flashes when someone calls (how does it doooo that? how does it knooooow?) and my Santa Troll is down from the loft!

I’m very in the Christmas spirit this year huh? I was a right ‘bahumbug’ last year, don’t know what’s wrong with me santahatAnd so this is Christmas…

Today I went shopping, got all my cards and some bits and bobs…now I only need to get something for my brother and something for Gavin (since he ever so thoughtfully went out and bought himself the thing he knew I was getting him mad0046And so this is Christmas…)

OK that’s all….please show me Christmas related things you have made? :)

I didn’t have mush Christmas spirit until this last week. I made a holiday layout for my home page and I rescued a tiny green tinsel tree from Wal*Mart ala Charlie brown.

So christmas-y! Wow, that’s weird how people will bid more for an item than it’s actually sold for in stores o-o Hmm… I still have to go Christmas shopping…

Hmm… I’ve put up the christmas layout and keep forgetting to make the Christmas cards for all my exchanges. The internet just has this magnetic force about it, you know? I said to myself I was going to make homemade cards, so I better do it. I will not allow myself to run to walmart to get them….

Anyway, I have an even sadder Christmas tree a la Charlie Brown:

Love the avatar Starlet.

Nah ebay really is full of suckers, but it’s great for selling your stuff. If you wanna make a lot of money then go to a second hand shop and buy a load of cheap stuff that you know is worth a lot then sell it on ebay to double your money using those kinda idiots who pay double what they should be doing.

Since Sims 2 doesn’t need a unique serial # though why not just download it, I downloaded it and the 2 expansions plus the special xmas edition and they all work great :D

I’ve downloaded it loads before, a few times it didn’t work at all, a few times it did work but build mode didn’t so I spent endless hours searching for a working crack and on the occasions when it did work something would always happen (computer died, reformated, just stopped working etc) so I’d be back to square one, so I figured…why not just buy it, that way it’s always garenteed to work and if I do have to uninstall it it’s just a matter of getting out the CDs to reinstall.

Blah I never bother using ebay. I don’t have an account on there but I sometimes just browse through it. My cousin sold my old clarenet on there for like £80 which was good though.

Ooo Xmas is like not this Sunday the Sunday after and it sounds closer if you say in less than 2 weeks which it is!

Great site xoxo

Hmm… I have Sims 2 DVD ed. and Sims 2 University… I might be able to sell it to you? If you’re interested you could e-mail me at shadow@pheonix.ca. It has been played, but not much. Both Cds and boxes and all. So yeah, let me know if you’re interested.

yeah normal cracks wont work that good or at least the earlier ones dont. you just need a cracked iso one instead you run on daemon tools, never had any problems with them.

You sure are in the Christmas spirit. Send some of it over my way, since I’m hating it this year :)
Don’t know how that ebay thing is supposed to work either. Perhaps the problem is people just forget to check shop prices before they bid?

Maybe some people don’t have credit cards to buy them online, with ebay you can send cheques and PO’s.
