I just applied for a Virgin Credit Card I don’t really need it and it probably won’t get much use but I need to better my credit rating and apparently this will help!
I had to big time bullshit on the forms though, make up job details….I do hope I don’t get in trouble for that :g:
Still though it’s not like it’s that much of a lie…I do plan on getting a job pretty soon, at the very least for the Christmas period, who will employ me though I don’t know…having been unemployed for 3 years for no reason other than ‘because I could’ is hardly a great selling point is it? What I could really use is getting a job from someone I know, just so that the last thing I did was an actual job…but I don’t know any one who owns their own business or has lots of sway over who gets employed where they work, hmm.
Anyone in the UK know of places that aren’t too fussy about who they hire, especially over the Christmas period? I’m only looking for a crappy job like shop assistant or fast food etc

In other news…i’m going to start work on a new layout tomorrow, I already have it in my head…it’s going to be amazingly simple and plain so it shouldn’t take too long…i’m hoping a new layout might inspire me to work on the site/blog more, I do seem to have lost interest lately as you have probably noticed!

Also…happy One Year Anniversary to Plugboard.org, I can’t believe actually that it’s only been around for a year…it feels like I’ve been running that place since the dawn of time! I suppose though that is because the Plugboard script itself existed since 2003…and Plugboard.org isn’t nearly as much fun to run as this site, I really don’t enjoy it at all to be honest, a lot of work and dealing with pain’s in the butt for very little reward…but hey ho, it’s my baby and I still love it!

My neon yellow wee is back, oh yes it is!
I stopped taking those vitamins for a while just to be sure it was those causing it and I didn’t have frigging liver disease or something…sure enough I had regular wee the day after I stopped taking them…I missed my special wee so much….how strange is that? It came back the day after I started the pills again but it was only on Tuesday it really returned ‘full force’!
I was so pleased when Gavin looked at it…before that no one had wanted to look at my special neon yellow wee so it was proud moment when someone else had seen it and gone ‘wow’ :clapping:

Finally, I just did some maths and worked out that in the last year I have saved £624 ($1099) by not smoking, I’m 99% certain I must have worked it out wrong though because that is a fucking lot of money! If it is correct though it’ll make me feel a whole lot better about the small fortune I plan on spending next week…I have a bunch of stuff I really need, especially a new coat since the one i have now is at least 4 years old and hardly fits me any more lol

Right that’s all, I kiss you.

Happy Birthday Plugboard! Amazing, one year! I thought that the site itself had been around longer too, but I guess because the plugboard existed before it’s warped my sense of time. ;D Congratuations!

I need to get a real job as well. =/

You should post your neon wee on your webcam so we can all see :P
Anyway good luck with the job.. I remember when I applied for a job when I was about 18 and everyone else my age had already been working since they were like 15 but I was like you.. I didn’t work because I didn’t have to, no point in that huh? If you apply at a fast food joint just act all bubbly and tell them how much of a “people person” you are, that’s how I conned Pizza hut into hiring me lol. Really I just wanted to say “I generally hate people and am not very sociable, but I need money and this is my last resort”.

If you are looking for a job at a fast food place try Buger King, there are some kids in my school who work there. Also B and Q give you about £5 a hour.

Good luck with the job hunting, I’m looking for a job as well, what about a paper round?

if you’re concerned with putting “unemployed for 3 years,” you can just lie and say you were in school during that time. but they won’t care if you’re looking for a crappy temp job, though.

happy bday plugboard!

Happy (belated) Birthday Plugboard!

It used to be quite easy to get a job in Barratts shoes: I walked in, they asked if I could start on saturday and when I said yes they said ’see you at 1pm’!

If you’re worried about not having a job for 3 years, there’s a way round that. Find your local education centres and look for any art classes. They always want models so their students don’t ahev to paint the same ones. They hire all the time for only 3 or 4 sessions at a time, usually decent rates because it’s council funded and you can use it to show recent employment. Look for portraiture, so you don’t have to do nude.
