I forgot one of my handbags…i’ve felt guilty about it since I realised (no, really :oops:) so…have a look at it now lol
I’m very behind with online things at the moment so if you are waiting for something from me please be patient, i’ll get there eventually! Also i’m having problems with Hotmail again, i’m sure I mentioned it before…9 times out of 10 when I load a page I get ‘Done but with errors on page’ in the status bar, that then makes it so I can’t click on anything so I have to either hit back and try again (but then 9 times out of 10 when I go back that page has the error on it) or refresh…so in order to simply reply to an email it takes me about 100 clicks/trys :bomb::bomb:
:eye: Tonight is the UK Big Brother final…and i’m not that excited, I am excited…but normally i’d be having a near heart attack about it…frankly it’s because I don’t care much, I want Anthony to win, won’t mind too much if Eugene does and think Kinga winning would be a laugh…but whoever wins I don’t really think they deserve it…plus i’m actually kinda glad it’s coming to an end, normally i’d be really sad about it…but it’s been so full of bitching and arguing and hate and vile HMs this year that it’s more of a relief :smirk:
I am looking forward to some parts of it, seeing all the ex HMs again and seeing Makosi get royally booed (and on my wishlist…seeing her get beaten by Kinga).
BB7 must have some lovely likeable people in it, please. :eye:
I went shopping yesterday, managed to get my wedding outfit which is a minor miracle…I honestly thought it would take several trips before I could find something I liked that was also weddingish! I’ll take pictures at some point, but it’s downstairs at the moment and I can’t be bothered to go get it! It’s a long black and white dress with halter top and a light pink jacket.
I still need to get the shoes and bag and other accessories to go with (including some Magic knickers to pull in my bulging gut lol), but that bit is easy (and fun) I could buy accessories til I die :thumbsup:
I also got a little green dress, however I worry it’s a bit slutty for me…I don’t normally wear things like it but hey-ho it was only £5 (you’re all jealous of my bargain hunting skills, do dar, do dar) and can easily pass as a top if that’s what I want.
Finally for today I wonder if Active Web Hosting would pay attention and consider changing the rules of the Ipod Contest if lots of people sent them an email asking/suggesting the do so.
Vm-Online.org (the site that won it last month) is now winning again this month…and I think they will continue to win it every month they decide to enter (they obviously don’t have the sense of Fair-play that most people have) since they don’t even have the link up/ask people to vote for them, 100% of their votes come from the popup. :thumbsdown:
The whole idea of the contest is to get AWH exposure, but what exposure will they get if the same site continues to win each month and people know there is no point in entering because it’s impossible to win :duh:
I know it is too late for this month, they wouldn’t kick out vm-online at this stage…but perhaps if enough people suggested it they would change the rule for next month? What do you guys think? If you think it’s a good idea I will mail them myself, ask you lovely people to and suggest the same thing to Jennifer (who in fairness is the only other person likely to win this month and is therefore the one getting most screwed over!)
Alright that’s all, i’m off to read BB websites and stuff, try get myself more hyped up for tonight :wave:

I don’t even think that vm online site should exist… isn’t it illegal to distribute movies for free like that?! If you really wanna play dirty, you could report them to the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) LOL!
But it has to feel good to be in the top 5 winners. Can you imagine how many people actually enter that damned contest? So, congrats on being in 4th!

I want Anthony to win too, but I don’t really mind. Makosi’s not really in the running because of the actress thingy, and Kinga probably wouldn’t win anyway. Eugene wouldn’t be so bad, but since he’s got half of the money, and hasn’t been in that long, then it would make more sense for Anthony to win. If that made sense, bleh.

I don’t think it’s fair people can win more than once either…but I guess that they want as many sites to link to them as possible. It doesn’t make sense though because vm’s instant vote when anyone visits the site means that people don’t get referred to AWH really…

About the free ipod thing…I’ve been voting for you every day…i don’t think it’s fair that the vm people win it again…and jennifers already won once before so i think you deserve it. Maybe them sorting their rules would def help. Anyway, good luck!

I have several but I end up using one mainly. Sometimes such a hassle to take everything out of one bag into another.
I don’t believe it’s fair to win a contest like that and let the same submissions from before, especially the winner, re-enter the next month. It’s not a equal and fair competition. But hey, if you figured out how they were able to win, why not play the game like they do it? Obviously it’s not against the rules, so if they play unfairly play unfairly back.
they DEFINITELY need to change the rules.. it’d be really annoying if vm-online keeps winning, they need to give someone else a chance!

Regarding the contest - I don’t think it’s fair to allow contestants to re-enter, and I also don’t think it’s fair to allow pop-ups. I think I’m going to e-mail them. I mean, look at it this way - if the same site keeps re-entering every month and winning every month, it’s going to discourage people from wanting to enter at all.
Eventually what will happen is that AWH will only be receiving exposure from vm-online.org, meaning that they’ll just keep getting the same people day after day. How is that promoting a business? With the same people (who visit vm-online.org) getting the same pop-up, it’s unlikely that AWH will get any business from them. Here I thought the point was to get lots of DIFFERENT people to AWH… not just a certain group.
http://www.vm-online.org does post it’s link, but does it VIA e-mail, as well as pop up. Don’t make accusations that you don’t know the answer to. Just cause they always win dosn’t mean you have to go along crying about it. If it bugs ya that much make a pop-up on your site for it too!
Well, a few things…this post is really old I’m no longer in the comp and havn’t been for months.
If they were asking people to vote for them via email they were breaking the rules of the contest and
I wouldn’t put a popup on my site because I wouldn’t want to annoy my visitors.
