Holiday time woo! I’m going to try and keep it pretty short but it’ll still no doubt end up pretty long :rotfl:
I went to Gav’s on Saturday, the coach trip sucked for various reasons but I won’t go into that
I don’t remember if we did anything on Saturday or not, I don’t think we did lol
On Sunday we went to Tesco to do the shopping for the caravan, they were having a sale in the clothing section and I saw this handbag I liked, looked at the price and it was £1.25, £1.25 can you believe? When we got to the check out however (this was the point i realised i’d picked up goats milk instead of regular milk,
it’s yucky AND twice the cost :duh:) when the bag came up it was just £1 (that’s $1.74) :omg:
Kinda lame that i’m so excited about a cheap handbag I know, but that’s the sort of thing that excites me *shrug*
Sunday night Gav brought home spare ribs from work because i’d been wanting to try them for a while, they were pretty yummy but nothing special! Then we packed up the car and set off at about 12.30am - It took 2 and a half hours to get there so we arrived at 3am, had a few drinks then went to bed.
Monday we got lost trying to find our way out of the caravan park :caravan: - Last year when we went to Ingoldmells we only left the park one way and were later informed that if you go the ‘other’ way then theres loads of stuff that side too! Eventually we found our way out and on the exit of our park was this massive lake full of fishermen and boats and ducks…there was also some crazy golf and small rides and go-karting and stuff!
We walked along the promenade for what seemed like forever, it was at least twice as far as the ‘other’ way and I was moaning and whingeing cos I hate walking anyway but I also had stupid painful sandals on! Once we made it into the towny area we stopped at a pub for a pint, it was vile, it tasted like shit and the glass was filthy  but I needed the break so we sat for a while…then we set off again and popped in an arcade or two and then stopped at the next pub…we had a few in there and sheltered from the huge thunderstorm that came out of nowhere! Once that had passed we set off back, stopped in an arcade again and we played some 10 pin bowling!
Walking back on the promenade, about half way home…the heavens opened again and oh-my-giddy-aunts did I get soaked!! :rain: The rain was so icy cold too, I guess because we were right next to the sea? I was literally hysterical - totally freezing and dripping wet and knackered from running and freaking out, when there was about 200 yards to go I just gave up, I didn’t think I could go another step…I was telling Gav to go ahead and leave me and that i’d catch up when I could but he was like:
‘come on, you can do it’
Honestly…you’d think I was climbing everest or something, I must have looked a right idiot :hyper:
I think we then had something to eat after drying off and then headed out again, this time the ‘old’ way rather than the new one…we went to the Bell Inn which is the pub we ended up in most nights last year too, had a few drinks and then ordered some food later on…I had a Cheese Baguette and Curly Fries which was really really nice and filling and well priced! We stopped in at the Arcade on the walk home and Gav won me something from one of those grabber machines
I’ve never ever ever won anything out of one of those and we didn’t hold out much hope, but it only took him 2 goes (40p)! It’s a Forever Friend and says ‘My true love’ on it’s belly!
On Tuesday we went to watch the sea, it was almost hightide and we were sat on some rocks very close to the water, after a while I moved back because I was scared of the water trapping me, that’s one of my weird fears and i’m sure i’m not the only one…being stood/sat on the beach or some rocks or something not paying attention, eventually turning around to head back only to see you’ve been surrounded by water :ashamed:
All of a sudden though just up the beach there was a huge noise and tonnes and tonnes of water suddenly pouring out of a pipe and heading towards us. I still don’t know exactly what they were doing, maybe someone who still studies geography in school may know…it seemed like they were clearing away the old sand and replacing it with new
Then we walked onto the pub where I think we ate again, either there or we had fish and chips walking back…I can’t remember. The pub had these funny bar mats, one of which I stole because it is about Big Brother. It’s a video casette that says ‘Ella’s 1st birthday’ and it’s scribbled out with ‘Big Brother (Weds)’ written under it
Then we went to another pub that was having Happy Hour, had a few there and then headed back home. In the evening we went back to the pub (gosh, nuff time in the pub!!) and we were meant to be going on the dodgems and going to this other bar that had kareoke and stuff but we fell out :talktothehand: I don’t even remember why, he was in a funny mood and I was annoying him i think - he snapped at me and then ignored me for a while so I said ‘Sod this, let’s go back’ - We then ignored each other all through Big Brother and most of whatever the heck was on next too, then we made up and went to the bedroom to…make up only he decided he couldn’t be bothered/wasn’t in the mood so I kicked him out to go sleep on the sofa :knockout:
The following morning at about 8am I went and told him to come to bed, we snuggled briefly then fell back to sleep - It just wouldn’t have been a real holiday if we hadn’t had at least one fall out lol
Wednesday again we went to the beach to have a look at the sea - last year we never bothered because it always seemed so far away, but now we know the shortcut it’s a nice place to go sit. The sea was all the way out though so it was a bit dull and we headed back home :caravan:
We then got ready and went off to Skegness for the day, went in plenty of arcades, went to the pleasure park, sat by the boating lake, sat on the beach. We were also meant to go somewhere ‘nice’ to eat - we ended up in McDonalds
Then we played some Crazy golf - i’ve never played it before and was expecting to be crap….turned out I was shit hot and I beat Gav by about 15 points, booyah! On the way back we stopped off at Fantasy Island, I really really really wanted to go on the Ferris wheel because i’ve never been on one before, but it was shut due to highwinds! We almost went on a couple of things but in the end left having done nothing lol - neither of us are rollercoaster people really.
Wednesday night it was back to the pub again - there was some man in singing (a ‘turn’ if your from the north of England lol) and a group and the most drunken, rowdy people i’ve ever seen in my life…they kept singing different songs to the chap who was singing and trying to throw him off :sing:
We got something to eat again, Gav had steak and I had a cheese sandwhich - tried again for the dodgems but they were bloody closed, so we wasted yet more money in the arcade, I really really wanted to win a Bart Simpson thing out of a grabby machine for Gav, but alas it wasn’t to happen! Generally had a really nice night to make up for the shitty one the night before - after we got home though something happened that was truly disgusting it’s so gross infact that i’m going to post it at the end of the entry in a ‘Too much info’ block so that you don’t have to read it if you don’t want - i’ll also be mentioning something about part of the reason we fell out on Tuesday that is of an adult nature!
Thursday - went for our morning look at the beach, then round to the ‘towny’ bit, spent last few pennies in the Arcade, i got some chips, Gav bought me a windmill…it was all shiny and colourful so caught my eye lol
Then we headed back to the caravan to tidy up, it was a total mess…we didn’t keep up with keeping it tidy throughout - so it ended up taking a few hours to get it ready
We set off back at 6.30pm - Didn’t get home until after 10pm :omg: I really didn’t realise it was going to take so long! We had a cuppa tea and a chat to my parents when we got back and then Gav set off back home at 11pm :guilty:
So yeah…that’s it. Overall it was a really nice time - a few downs and problems but far outweighed by the loveliness of it all! I knew this blog would end up being stupidly long!!!
Heres some other random pictures!
I’m like a typical bloke in the sense that I need action and if I don’t get it then I get more and more and more grumpy and frustrated until I either do get some or we have a big argument. But i’m also like a typical bird in the sense that I can only be ‘turned down’ once or twice before I start to feel really unattractive and paranoid that something is wrong - So i’m angry and miserable all rolled into one when i’m not getting any!
On Wednesday - the gross thing I mentioned, Gav has started drinking Guinness and it gives him wind…the dirtiest, smellyist most repugnant wind ever :vomit: - he did one soon after we got back that made me gag like crazy, I thought I was going to be sick…I moved as far away from him as possible but he kept complaining that he wanted snuggles, after promising me numerous times that it was ‘all out’ I went back to him, the second I did he let one rip again
I ran the the bathroom and threw up twice!! Have you ever heard anything like it, a fart being so gross it physically makes you throw up. Gav finds the whole thing highly amusing, I don’t.
